Former Governor Patrick McCrory made a brief surprise appearance at the 16th Annual Mayor’s International Community Awards (MICA), where he presented the award named in his honor: “The Patrick McCrory International Entrepreneur Award” to Mr. Augusto Conte.

Also in attendance were the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the United States of America, Jose Cuisia, Jr., and the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the United States of America, Akan Ismaili.

The Mayor’s International Community Awards were established as a way to encourage foreign-owned firms to adopt corporate philanthropy as a business practice and to engage locally by giving back to the Charlotte community.
